By using Bib Check you agree to these terms.

The service

Bib Check verifies bibliographic references against scholarly databases, locates open-access PDFs, and optionally checks that cited sources support the claims that cite them. Results are automated assistance, not a guarantee: verification depends on third-party databases and machine judgment, and you remain responsible for your own bibliography.

Your account

Keep your credentials safe; you are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, attempt to access other users' data, or use it for unlawful purposes.

Your content

You retain all rights to documents you upload. You warrant that you are entitled to process them. Only upload PDFs you may lawfully access; Bib Check retrieves open-access full text only.

Credits and payments

Checks consume credits as described on the pricing page. Credits are charged only for completed work. Cancelled or failed checks release their reservation. Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record; pack credits do not expire, subscription allowances renew monthly. Refunds are handled case-by-case within 14 days of purchase for unused credits.

Availability

The service is provided "as is" without warranty. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service; scheduled restarts may abort in-flight checks (which are not charged).

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months preceding a claim.

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with an updated date above.
